The mysteries of Leonardo Da Vinci are still trying to be visible

The fresco the battle of Anghiari (1505) of Leonardo da Vinci is still missing and Maurizio Seracini (Italian art researcher) firmly believes that it is hidden under a fresco by Giorgio Vasari in 1561. Seracini obtained authorization from the Government in 2007 Italian to proceed with the scan of the painting of Vasari on the battle of Marciano in Val di Chiana “Battle of Scanagallo”, and guided by an inscription to 12 meters above the ground, suspected that the East wall of the room, where the previous cool, could hide the work of Leonardo da Vinci.

In this inscription, a Florentine soldier of Vasari paint, move a banner with the words “cerca trova” (who seeks finds), played by the researcher as a track that could let the architect, who, as an admirer of the work of Leonardo, would have tried to keep the work of the author of La Gioconda. These events are occurring in the old palace of Florence, where, Seracini by use of probes found traces of pigments similar to those used in La Gioconda. Signs of a beige coat that could only have been made have found with a brush, as well as remains of black pigment and several fragments of Red material that have been associated with a lacquer of that color and whose presence would be impossible to think that you it’s a simple wall.

But the research team had to stop the project because the Italian Ministry of culture has been banned. They justify that they are damaging the work of Vasari in excess and that they do not allege sufficient evidence demonstrating that the lost work of Leonardo is below. After 30 years of searching, this mysterious work of Leonardo will have to follow in lethargy, because who would be capable of eliminating a magnificent work of Giorgio Vasari in the 16th century, by a not too conclusive evidence? Or is that a course Leonardo as an authentic Vasari is more important?
